Heo Jae, a former basketball coach who had a history of drunk driving several times, was embroiled in controversy.

Heo Jae recently filmed an online video advertisement as an exclusive model for a hangover reliever launched by a food company.

Many people pointed out, "It is deceiving the public for a person who has been caught several times for drunk driving to act as a hangover reliever model."

Heo Jae was caught driving under the influence of alcohol in 1993, and was caught up in a number of cases such as drunk driving and assault after drinking several times.

Even after transforming from a basketball coach to a broadcaster, Heo Jae continues to walk confidently without hesitation.

Heo Jae, who gained popularity on the air with his easygoing and positive image, was recently selected as the host of KBS's new program 'My Hometown at 12:00'.

KBS also promoted the new host Heo Jae extensively, saying, "Heo Jae, a well-known gourmet and 'lover', will disarm the guest with his unique witty talk."

There are concerns that public broadcasters are trying to wrap Heo Jae's drunk driving history into an image of a 'beautiful drinker'.

According to its own operating standards, KBS recommends refraining from hiring celebrities who have caused social controversy, but Heo Jae did not fall into this category.
