The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has set up an "oxygen station" that administers oxygen to patients with the new corona virus, with more than 240 beds in line with facilities in Shibuya Ward, Tokyo, and metropolitan hospitals. We would like to prevent the aggravation by dealing with patients who are being adjusted.

In Tokyo, there are a number of people who cannot be hospitalized immediately, such as the number of people who are forced to undergo medical treatment at home due to the rapid spread of infection and the number of people who are adjusting for hospitalization.

In response to this crisis, the city has decided to install 246 beds in total, including "oxygen stations" to accommodate people who need oxygen inhalation.

We have secured 36 beds in 11 hospitals of the metropolitan and public corporations as beds to respond to requests from ambulance crews who have not already found a place to accept them, and started operation from 14th of this month.

In addition, 80 beds will be installed at the public corporation Ebara Hospital and the public corporation Toshima Hospital for patients with moderate illness who are being adjusted for hospitalization, and the operation will start within this month.

In addition, we have set up 130 beds in the metropolitan complex "Tomin no Shiro" in Shibuya Ward as a bed for temporarily accepting mildly ill patients, and we hope to start operation by the end of next week.

Here, we accept people with mild illness who are judged not to need to be hospitalized among those who have requested ambulance transportation.

If your condition deteriorates during oxygen administration, consider hospitalization, and if it stabilizes, have you return to your home.

The city wants to expand the number of beds in the oxygen station that accepts these mildly ill patients to 400 beds.

The challenge is to secure doctors and nurses, and the city is rushing to improve the system while coordinating with the medical association.
