Kagawa Prefecture announced that a total of 83 people between the ages of 10 and 80 have been confirmed to be newly infected with the new coronavirus.
The number of infected people announced on the 1st in Kagawa Prefecture was the second highest in the past.
The prefecture also announced that a man in his 80s who had been infected and was being treated died on the 15th.
Infection was confirmed in 3124 people in Kagawa prefecture, and 34 people died.
