(Fighting New Coronary Pneumonia) 3 new imported cases in Hong Kong Airport VIP room staff initially diagnosed

  China News Service, Hong Kong, August 16-Hong Kong added 3 new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia on the 16th, all of which were imported cases.

Another 47-year-old woman who worked as an airline VIP room employee at Hong Kong International Airport was initially diagnosed and was temporarily classified as a local case.

  The three new confirmed cases that day involved three men, aged between 42 and 50, who arrived in Hong Kong from Switzerland, Japan, and Malaysia.

So far, the total number of confirmed cases in Hong Kong has increased to 12,036.

According to information released by the Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, one of the confirmed patients had received two doses of Fubital vaccine in Hong Kong.

  On the same day, the Centre for Health Protection stated that it is investigating an initial confirmed local case involving the L452R mutant virus strain.

  It is reported that the case involved a 47-year-old female patient living in Mei Yat House, Yat Tung (2) Village, Tung Chung. She developed fever and other symptoms on August 15 and consulted a private doctor. She went to North Lantau Hospital on the same day. Seek medical attention in the Accident and Emergency Department.

Her deep throat saliva sample on August 15 tested positive and confirmed that it contained the L452R mutant virus strain, but did not carry the N501Y and E484K mutant genes.

  The Center for Health Protection is conducting an epidemiological investigation and contact tracing of the case.

Preliminary information shows that she did not travel abroad during the incubation period, and the center has classified this case as a local case.

She worked as an airline lounge clerk at Hong Kong International Airport, and her last work date was August 14.

The patient was not vaccinated against the new crown.

  The SAR government carried out a "closed area" mandatory test on Mei Yat House, Yat Tung (2) Village, Tung Chung that night. The patient's workplace and the places she visited during the incubation period and the infectious period must also be included in the mandatory test announcement.
