A real pharaonic sarcophagus receives visitors to the Egyptian pavilion at the Expo in Dubai

Next month, a pharaonic sarcophagus that was recently discovered in the archaeological area of ​​Saqqara, Giza Governorate, will arrive in Dubai, to be received by visitors to the Egyptian pavilion at the Expo 2020 in Dubai, according to a statement by the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities. 


According to the statement issued today, the Egyptian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled Al-Anani stressed, during a meeting with the Minister of Trade and Industry, Nevin Jameh, to discuss the preparations for the Egyptian participation in the exhibition, “the ministry’s keenness to make available all its capabilities and expertise to make the Egyptian participation successful, and to show the Egyptian pavilion in the Dubai Expo in the way that it is.” It is commensurate with Egypt’s position, as one of the most important global tourist and archaeological destinations.”


The statement quoted Minister Jameh as saying that next Thursday, all internal and external works will be completed in the Egyptian pavilion at Expo 2020 in Dubai, noting that coordination is currently underway with all ministries and relevant authorities to select the content of the Egyptian pavilion to produce it in a way that reflects Egypt's weight and position at the regional and global levels. 


 Jameh stressed that there is great interest from the political leadership and the government in the Egyptian participation in this international event, which is being held for the first time in an Arab country.
