Do you have an idea of the number of human brain cells?

Its number is 86 billion cells, and the brain is the most important part of the human body, because it is responsible for the nervous system, thinking and making decisions, and it controls everything we do, and God Almighty has preserved it in a safe place surrounded by a strong skull. A very important organ, such as the brain, is injured.

Despite the strong protection that the Creator bestowed on this organ, some people do not appreciate the blessings we have, so they destroy the brain with bad habits. We will learn about the most important of them in this article.

The progress that humanity is witnessing day after day has had and will have many negative effects on the way the human brain works, including that our ability to innovate will be greatly reduced, and we will be subject to laziness and lack of thinking, even the simplest skills such as the use of memory will decrease day by day. For starters, the most common habit that harms the brain and the heart is also idleness or sitting for a long time without movement, and that not leaving the house due to the closure and the spread of the Corona epidemic, has caused many - and I am unfortunately among them - to work from home, but from within one place in the house, which may be a room Sleeping or praying, and they may not move all day from that place, as they eat, work and watch TV in the same place. This behavior reduces the amount of oxygen that reaches the blood because of not breathing efficiently, especially for those who work a lot at the computer. The amount of damage done by inactivity is literally catastrophic, and the solution is very simple: get out and exercise, as movement releases endorphins that make us feel better, keep our hearts healthy, and our brains work better. At least 30 minutes of regular walking a day is enough to prevent dangers that we do not need, and author Shivendra Misra advises adherence to the rule of 10,000 steps a day, where he says we will not be more busy than Nikola Tesla or Mark Zuckerberg.

The second destructive habit is the lack of focus because of the information content that we consume daily, such as browsing social media without a goal, or reading dozens of messages in e-mail, and according to University of California research, the average content that a person consumes daily is about 34 gigabytes of data and information, which reduces our focus in Work, reduces our productivity and our ability to think and communicate effectively, as reading a news or watching a video consumes our focus and is followed by a decision to either participate, ignore or interact, and this amount of information is 350 times more than what was consumed 30 years ago.

The solution is simple to avoid unnecessary content, such as browsing social media and following the news, or reading star news or even gossip and useless conversations, and it is recommended to read in depth on selected topics, with some time to reflect and learn.

The lack of talking with focus and not wasting our energy can raise our productivity immediately.

For the rest of the interview, God willing.
