On the morning of the 15th, a fire broke out in a 10-story building at the University of Tokyo in Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, and a man who smoked a security guard was slightly injured.

The Metropolitan Police Department and the Tokyo Fire Department are investigating the cause of the fire because it is a building where experiments using chemicals are conducted.

Around 9 am on the 15th, the fire department was notified that a fire was coming from the building on the Hongo campus of the University of Tokyo in Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo.



According to the Tokyo Fire Department, the fire broke out in a 10-story building called the "Pharmaceutical Science Research Building," with parts of the 2nd and 3rd floors burned.



At one point, the flames rose violently, but 45 fire-fighting vehicles were dispatched to engage in activities, and the momentum of the fire had almost subsided.



According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, a man in his thirties smoked and was taken to the hospital in the fire, but the degree of injury was minor.



According to the investigation so far, there is a device that heats chemicals at a constant temperature on the second floor of this building, and smoke has been witnessed from around the device.
