Eleven works by Pablo Picasso so far exhibited in a restaurant in Las Vegas (United States) will be auctioned next October.
These drawings, paintings and a ceramic creation could bring in 104.2 million dollars (about 88 million euros), estimated Sotheby's, in charge of the sale, quoted by CNN.
They were owned by the American group MGM Resorts International.
The entertainment giant installed these precious works of art more than twenty years ago in the Picasso restaurant located within its Bellagio hotel.
The Michelin-starred establishment offers dishes inspired by French and Spanish cuisine.
MGM has 12 other creations by Pablo Picasso which will replace the works sold within the establishment.
Coinciding with Pablo Picasso's 140th birthday this October, MGM Resorts and @Sothebys will present a special, first-of-its-kind marquee Evening Sale of masterworks by the iconic artist from the MGM Resorts Fine Art Collection.

Works produced between 1917 and 1969
The auction will take place in Las Vegas and will be the first sale of its kind organized by Sotheby's in this Nevada city. The works in the catalog were produced by the Spanish artist between 1917 and 1969, “almost the entire duration of his career,” commented Brooke Lampley, member of the Sotheby's Board of Directors. will be one of the lots offered at auction.
This is a cubist portrait of Marie-Thérèse Walter, a French model with whom the painter had his daughter Maya.
MGM said some of the money generated from these sales would be reinvested in other works to "increase diversity and inclusion" within the group's art collection.
By organizing the sale in Las Vegas, the company also intends to make the American city a popular destination for art lovers.
