After the changeable temperatures of the past few weeks, the German Weather Service (DWD) predicts mostly best bathing weather for the weekend.

When there is a lot of sunshine, except in the north, it is again very warm to hot between 24 and 32 degrees, as the DWD announced on Friday in Offenbach.

Heavy showers and thunderstorms can occur at the edge of the Alps.

While the 30 degree mark is often cracked in the south, according to the forecast it is not very summery in the north with temperatures around 20 degrees, lots of clouds in the sky and a few showers.

As the DWD predicted, the new week begins early in autumn, especially in the north and west. The maximum values there are around 20 degrees, and there is also wind in many places, which, according to the DWD, should make the temperatures feel colder. In the south and east of Germany it remains warm at 24 to 28 degrees, but sometimes strong thunderstorms are to be expected. On Tuesday, it will be significantly cooler there with just over 20 degrees, as DWD meteorologist Marcel Schmid explained.
