In the Early Cretaceous Hami pterosaur fauna in Xinjiang, China, about 130 to 120 million years ago, the cooperation team between China and Brazil led by researcher Wang Xiaolin from the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (Institute of Paleospine, Chinese Academy of Sciences), for the first time The study found three dinosaur fossils, including a section of related cervical vertebrae, caudal vertebrae and sacral vertebrae. Based on the characteristics of the cervical vertebrae and coccyx vertebrae, the cooperative team established two new dinosaur genus and new species, Panpodas and Giantsaurus, which were named "China The "Silk Road Dragon" and the "Xinjiang Hami Dragon", and the other sacral vertebrae have not been named due to the fact that the fossils are too broken and the characteristics are not obvious.

This is the first time a sauropod porphylosaurus dinosaur was discovered in the Early Cretaceous strata in Xinjiang, and it is also the first large dinosaur fossil found in the Hami pterosaur fauna.

The dinosaur research paper was published online in the international academic journal "Science Report" under Springer Nature on the night of August 12, Beijing time.
