On August 12, Li Qiankuan, the famous director of Changchun Film Studio, died of illness at the age of 80.
Li Qiankuan’s representative works include "Founding Ceremony", "Chongqing Negotiations", "After the Decisive Battle", "July 7 Incident", etc. Among them, "Founding Ceremony" won the Best Feature Film Award of the 10th Chinese Film Golden Rooster Award, and the Best Feature Film of the 13th Popular Film Hundred Flowers Award prize.
"Chongqing Negotiations" won the "Huabiao Cup" Government Outstanding Film Award and the 17th Hundred Flower Awards Outstanding Film Award.
