A few days ago, Shanghai Dongchang Building Corridor Art Museum's first exhibition "Up and down the Watchtower" officially opened.

The exhibition takes Pudong’s tallest building in the past—Dongchang Road Fire Observation Tower as its theme.

The exhibition is located in the public corridor on the 7th floor. The "protagonist" is the Dongchang Fire Observation Tower, which disappeared in 1999 due to blasting.

Opposite the Dongchang Building is the location of the Dongchang Fire Observation Tower.

Walking into the corridor, more than 20 old photos can be seen neatly hanging on both sides of the corridor.

The information on the exhibition wall shows that the photographer of these old photos was Zhao Jieping, a former watchman of the Dongchang Fire Squadron.

Some residents said that they can see such an art exhibition without leaving home on a hot day. It feels very good. It is very novel and meaningful to recall this period of history in the form of a corridor art exhibition.
