A Sri Lankan woman, Wishma Sandamari (33), who was detained at the Nagoya Regional Immigration Bureau, complained of poor physical condition and died in March. We have released a final report stating that the system for conducting the activities was inadequate.

Prior to the explanation, Minister of Justice Kamikawa and Secretary of State for Immigration and Residence Sasaki apologized respectively.



After that, a two-week video of Mr. Wishma in the facility was edited for about two hours and was disclosed to the bereaved family on the condition that it was only viewed on the spot.



The lawyer's presence requested by the bereaved family was not allowed.



On the 12th, the bereaved family watched the video from the end of February to March 3rd, three days before his death, while Mr. Wishma, who fell from the bed, repeatedly complained "help", while the staff Was reflected in the answer, "Do it yourself."



Due to the strong shock of the bereaved family who saw the video, all the prepared video was not disclosed on the 12th, and the rest of the video showing the situation until the emergency transport on March 6 when he died It will be disclosed again at a later date.

The bereaved family said that the final report was insufficient to clarify the truth, and said that they would continue to request the disclosure of all the two weeks' worth of footage.
