Starting on August 8, a new round of heavy rainfall occurred in Hubei Province. Most of the province had heavy rains, and there were extremely heavy rains in northwestern Hubei, southwest Hubei, and northeastern Hubei. The cumulative rainfall is 438mm in Xiaohe Town, Yicheng City, Xiangyang City.

  Among them, from August 11 to 12 at 12:00, the disaster process caused 286,100 people in Xiangyang, Suizhou, and Xiaogan to be affected, 7216 people were urgently sheltered, and 5,943 people were urgently transferred and resettled.

Relevant rescue work is being carried out in an orderly manner.

  In view of the continued heavy rainfall, the province's flood control situation is getting more and more severe. According to the "Emergency Plan for Flood Control and Drought Relief in Hubei Province", after research, Hubei Provincial Defense designated to initiate a Level III emergency response at 16:00 on August 12th.

  The Hubei Provincial Meteorological Disaster Emergency Headquarters launched a three-level emergency response to meteorological disasters (heavy rain) at 14:30 on August 12, requiring all member units to strictly implement the relevant provisions of the "Hubei Provincial Meteorological Disaster Emergency Plan", and earnestly perform their respective duties and carry out emergency response.
