This is news that is sure to cringe among fans of the Game of
Thrones
books
who are desperately waiting for George RR Martin to put an end to his fantasy saga.
Obviously little inspired by the fate of Westeros, the author decided to tackle another project: a graphic novel entitled
Voyaging
.
“The stories of the Thousand Worlds (Thousands of Worlds) span centuries and have their own gallery of heroes and villains, legends and colorful characters… But none of them are as appealing as the merchant (and ecological engineer) Haviland Tuf, the protagonist of a series of stories that I have gathered in the collection
Tuf Voyaging
”, explained George RR Martin on his blog, referring to the
Voyage de Haviland Tuf
, published for the first time in 1986.
An old project
“At one point in the 1980s, I had planned a second collection of stories and a novel devoted to Tuf (Tuf Landing).
Alas, other novels, scripts and
Game of Thrones
arrived and with all that I had never been able to write them ”, then explained George RR Martin.
Voyaging
should arrive in bookstores in 2023. And we give it to you in a thousand: this new universe could well have a future on the small screen.
“At times, I even proposed the idea of a series on Tuff and his adventures… The stories are currently under option,” added the author.
