As of 14:00 yesterday, a total of 120 cases of motor vehicles impolite the zebra crossing illegally were captured and recorded.

The reporter learned from the traffic control department that "passing pedestrians under a green light" is a prerequisite for electronic eyes to photograph "disrespectful zebra crossings", and the driver's fear of "not avoiding pedestrians who run red lights will be punished" is unnecessary.

　　At 6:44 yesterday, on the south side of the intersection of Donghuashi Avenue, a white passenger car failed to give way to two pedestrians who normally passed through the crosswalk. It was captured and recorded by the "electronic police".

After being reviewed by the back-end traffic police, this illegal act was entered into the off-site law enforcement system. This is the first case of impolite zebra crossing violations recorded by the off-site law enforcement system.

According to Duan Haoren, a police officer from the Division of Science and Technology, among the 4 pictures, the first 3 pictures were taken by the original red light camera at the intersection, and the last picture was taken by a probe installed at one end of the crosswalk, specifically to confirm whether the signal light is green when pedestrians pass the intersection.

　　According to analysis, most of the illegal behaviors of motor vehicles impolite zebra crossings at intersections involve turning vehicles. Typical illegal behaviors include: forcibly crossing a group of pedestrians passing through the crosswalk, causing pedestrians to stop; forcing pedestrians passing through the crosswalk to stop; Motor vehicles have stopped in the direction to avoid pedestrians, but are still forced to pass; sudden acceleration and other methods are adopted to bypass pedestrians who are passing through the crosswalk.

　　Officer Duan said that algorithm recognition of pedestrian trajectories has been added to the probe, and the collected information is manually reviewed and entered into the off-site platform.

"After the entry, there will be a second review by specialized personnel, which is equivalent to an automatic review of the probe equipment, plus two manual reviews to avoid defects."

At intersections without electronic eyes, the traffic control department of this city will also use various methods to punish the illegal behavior of motor vehicles that impolite pedestrians on the zebra crossing.
