In conjunction with the UAE’s celebrations of the International Youth Day, which coincided yesterday, and as part of its initiatives for the year 2021, “Culture Without Borders”, which is based in Sharjah, launched a cultural initiative to distribute its libraries to the branches of youth councils in the UAE, in order to promote the dissemination of the culture of reading and knowledge. Among the youth audience, and within the efforts of the “Culture Without Borders” project to support the achievement of the goals of the National Reading Plan.

This came during the joint youth seminar organized by "Culture Without Borders" at the Dubai Youth Center, entitled "Youth Cultural Aspirations", in cooperation with the Federal Youth Foundation, in which the Director of "Culture Without Borders", Maryam Al Hammadi, and researcher in the field of human development and human development participated. Administrative Skills, Dr. Abdullatif Al-Azazi.

During the episode moderated by the program presenter, Yousef Al Hammadi, the two lecturers spoke about the importance of establishing a culture of reading and acquiring knowledge as a way of life, because of the role of reading in generating ideas among young people, and investing their creative energies to contribute to foreseeing the future, making them partners in achieving development and prosperity.

For his part, the youth participating in the session discussed with the guests the UAE’s approach to empowering youth, promoting a culture of innovation, keeping pace with the developments of the times in various fields, and the role played by youth councils through the initiative of panel discussions in adopting best practices that help exchange experiences and consolidate cultural knowledge. and literary among the younger generations.

The participants praised the initiative to distribute “Culture Without Borders” libraries to the branches of the youth councils in the country, and considered that it would encourage young people to read.

Mariam Al Hammadi said: “With the new initiative, we aim to enrich the libraries of the youth councils in all the Emirates, and supply them with (Culture Without Borders), the cultural project that was launched from Sharjah, to translate the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, to achieve sustainability. The culture of reading and spreading it widely in our society.”
