He also directed and filmed a series of excellent films such as "Chongqing Negotiations", "The July 7 Incident", "Jing Ge Iron Horse" and "Red Hijab".
On December 28, 2005, at the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Chinese film, Li Qiankuan won the "National Film Artist with Outstanding Contribution" award.
