Recently, the Social Survey Center of China Youth Daily conducted a survey of 1533 respondents through the questionnaire network (wenjuan.com), which showed that the remuneration is good (55.4%) and the industry is promising (53.0%). People generally value it when they choose their first job.

66.0% of the respondents believe that they should gain experience in the workplace through their first job.

  Among the interviewees, recent graduates accounted for 30.3%, those who had worked for less than 1 year accounted for 12.9%, those who had worked for 1-3 years accounted for 23.5%, those who had worked for 4-5 years accounted for 16.9%, and those who had worked for more than 6 years accounted for 16.4%.

Salary and industry prospects are more important aspects when choosing your first job

Wang Zhibao felt that his first job after leaving the school was still in line with expectations.

"What is not consistent is that I wanted to work in technology at first, but now my job has a stronger demand for business. In actual work, I also found that the requirements for purely technical positions are relatively high, and I am not a computer student. If there are too many things to learn to do technology, it is also a good choice to transfer to the business."

  Cheng Hongbin (pseudonym) studied fashion design. After graduation, he joined a Fortune 500 clothing company.

For this job, he feels very satisfied with both the income and the newcomer training plan.

"I entered the company as a reserve student. The company has a two-and-a-half-year training plan for newcomers.   In the survey, 51.1% of the respondents felt that their first job was in line with their expectations, 31.7% of the respondents felt that it did not meet their expectations, and 17.2% of the respondents said it was not good.

  Bai Miaodan, a graduate of applied statistics, used to work in data analysis at an Internet company in Beijing.

For the first job, Bai Miaodan felt that it was not quite the same as expected, "I thought I would use a lot of statistical models, but I found that they were not used after work. She feels that in such an environment, you can learn more cutting-edge knowledge, and the working atmosphere is relatively relaxed. "In addition, salary treatment is also important, and the salary treatment in the Internet industry is relatively high."

  When choosing the first job, the interviewees valued good salary (55.4%) and industry prospects (53.0%). Others include: professional counterparts (49.6%), job development space (48.8%), work Have stability (35.0%), conform to hobbies (29.2%) and harmonious team atmosphere (22.4%).

  Relatively speaking, the selection rate in their favorite cities (19.2%), settlement problems (18.3%), corporate reputation (17.5%) and overtime work (13.1%) is not high, and only 5.8% are accepted. The interviewer thinks it is enough to have a job.

  Regarding the content that should be obtained through the first job, 66.0% of the respondents chose workplace experience, 58.3% of the respondents chose a long-term career development plan, and 55.3% of the respondents chose industry-specific skills .

Other aspects include: considerable salary income (39.5%), transferable general skills in the workplace (34.6%), abundant network resources (34.3%) and like-minded friends (25.5%).
