One dead due to dispute over filling fuel in Lebanon

A person was killed due to a dispute over filling fuel in the town of Bakhoun in the Daniyeh District of North Lebanon Governorate.

And the "National News Agency" reported today, that a dispute in front of a gas station developed into a fight with hands and knives and shooting from a military weapon.

According to the agency, the injured were taken to a medical center, but he soon died of his wounds, noting that members of the security forces cordoned off the clashes, and the shooter surrendered to the army intelligence.

Lebanon is witnessing a severe economic and financial crisis that has led to a decline in the ability of the Banque du Liban to meet the government’s decision to subsidize medicines and basic materials listed on the subsidy regulations, which has caused a decrease in fuel stocks and citizens queuing their cars in front of gas stations.
