Climate activist Greta Thunberg has used her appearance on the cover of the first issue of Scandinavian Vogue to criticize fast fashion.

The Swedish woman published on her personal page on social media, the day before yesterday, a picture of her on the front page of the new Scandinavian edition of Vogue fashion magazine.

“The fashion industry is a major contributor to the climate and environmental emergency, in addition to its impact on countless workers and exploited communities around the world so some can enjoy the fast fashion that they deal with,” she wrote in posts on her Twitter and Instagram pages. Many are with it as consumer products.”

Some in the field, she wrote, are using costly campaigns to give the impression that they are sustainable and climate-neutral.

It's always "green camouflage," Thunberg said, referring to the actions companies take to make themselves green without actually doing anything positive for the environment.

Thunberg said in an interview with Vogue that she hasn't bought new clothes in years.

She added: “The last time I bought something new was three years ago and it was used.

I only borrow things from people I know.”
