At the "Isedōtai Site" in Kitaakita City, Akita Prefecture, one of the "Hokkaido / Northeastern Jomon Archaeological Sites" registered as a World Cultural Heritage site last month, children during the summer vacation are volunteering to guide and attract. Efforts are being made to convey.

This initiative is being carried out by the Board of Education of Kitaakita City, and 52 people from the 4th grade of elementary school to the 3rd grade of high school are registered as "Junior Volunteer Guides".

Last year, we canceled the activity due to the influence of the new coronavirus, but this time we are limiting the period to 5 days from the 7th of this month, and we are guiding visitors from the prefecture who booked in advance.

On the 9th, eight people gave guidance and explained, "It is the only archaeological site in the world that has four stone circles in one archaeological site, and it is a very rare archaeological site."

A woman in her thirties who came from Ogata Village said, "It was easy to hear because I explained it in a loud voice and it was easy to hear. I want you to continue your activities."

Rina Kushima, a third-year high school student who is the leader of the guide, said, "I was very happy when it was decided to be a World Heritage Site. I hope more people will realize the value of the ruins."

The children's guide will be held on the 11th.
