A Saudi falcon that was auctioned at the international auction of falcon farms achieved a "record deal" after selling it for 270,000 riyals (72,000 dollars), which earned it the title of "the most expensive falcon" of a Saudi production being sold at auction so far, according to the news agency. Bidding on the falcon started at 100,000 riyals ($27,000).

The auction was awarded to the Saudi falconer Mutaib Munir Al-Ayafi, who said that he will name his new falcon "Ragwan", and will participate in it in the "Al-Mazain" competition dedicated to falcons of local production, which gives the owner of the most beautiful falcon a prize of 300,000 riyals ($80,000), and second place is 200,000 riyals, and the third 100,000 riyals.

Al-Ayafi added that he acquired the hobby of falconry from his family, which he inherited from a father from a grandfather, revealing that he has won championships in horse beauty competitions, and is seeking to compete in the Mazayen Falcons Championships at the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival, whose fourth edition begins on November 28 and will continue until December 16 next.

The auction will continue until the fifth of next September, with the participation of 25 farms from 14 countries.
