As an area with serious soil erosion and a high incidence of geological disasters in the country, there have been more than 220 geological disasters in the local area in the past ten years. The dangerous situation of the landslide has aroused great attention from the government.

Eleven years ago, the mountainous area in the northeastern part of the county seat of Zhouqu County also experienced a huge mountain torrent and debris flow disaster, killing 1,510 people. This is the most serious mountain torrent and debris flow disaster in China since 1949.

There is no way to solve this problem completely through engineering treatment. Therefore, on the basis of coordination and judgment by all parties, the relocation of the Zhouqu landslide belt is the most effective treatment method. Since it cannot be cured, the masses can be moved out to the greatest extent. Ensure the safety of people's lives and property.

[Explanation] Zhouqu County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, is a high-risk area for landslides, mudslides, and collapses in China. In order to minimize or avoid losses caused by geological disasters, Gansu has actively explored relocation and resettlement models and determined that it will be threatened by danger Of the people moved to Lanzhou New District.

After allocating money for repairs, the slope will slide again when it rains. In fact, it is a good opportunity for us. The upper part is afraid of hitting the people below, and the lower part is afraid of sliding down. Our conditions are indeed not good.

[Explanation] At about 7:30, after the farewell ceremony in Zhouqu, the relocation team set off for Lanzhou New District. After a day, the team arrived at the relocation location of Lanzhou New District.

Look at the milk, the rice, noodles, and oil that you ate, it really treats us in your heart.

[Explanation] After 45-year-old Liu Zhangsheng came to his new home, he received a dinner from the volunteers, which included dishes, soup, fruit, and yogurt.

With the help of the staff and volunteers, a family of five specially arranged the original "hometown" in order to dilute the "sentiment of homesickness". Liu Zhangsheng couldn't help sighing when he saw a large truck parked next to his new home. No need for traffic anymore. The problem is uphill and downhill with the big piece, not to worry about the next rainy night.

You don’t need to carry it up here to buy something. When you buy some food, rice, oil, and noodles, you have to carry it on your back and carry it home.

[Commentary] Liu Zhangsheng’s wife Bao Yanqiong told reporters that the couple has been working outside, so the children and the elderly who were very worried about staying at home on rainy days worry that the road will be broken again. Now this worry is no longer there.

I have to call every day to ask, because every aspect of my family has to worry about it. When the child comes back from vacation, the transportation is inconvenient, and the road will be cut off if it rains a little bit. Sometimes your way home is good today, but at night The road will be cut off in the next rain, and it will not go down, so I don’t worry.

[Explanation] In the next few days, more than a hundred households of Zhouqu geological disaster shelters will continue to settle here.

According to the official plan, Zhouqu County will have 1,190 households with 4699 people relocating here by the end of this year.
