On August 6th, train 79378 with 30 trains and a full load of more than 140 tons of Wuhan-produced snack food departed from Wujiashan Station in the Hanxi Depot of China Railway Wuhan Bureau Group Company, passing the Beijing-Guangzhou Line, Wujiu Line, and Yingying The Xiamen line runs to Gaoqi Railway Station near Xiamen City, Fujian Province.

Guo Pei, the person in charge of freight at Wujiashan Station, introduced that this is the first rail-sea intermodal train from the station to Xiamen. Container transport is used for this trip. A total of more than 60,000 pieces of snack foods made in Wuhan are loaded. After the train arrives in Xiamen, it will be in Xiamen. The port transfers to a freighter and travels to Thailand via sea. The entire transportation journey takes about 13 days.

The smooth operation of the train marked the official opening of the new Wuhan-Xiamen-Thailand international combined transport channel.

It is understood that this train is operated in cooperation with the Hanxi Depot and China Railway Union Wuhan Central Station. The whole journey is more than 1,300 kilometers and the running time is about 72 hours.

Compared with the logistics mode of water and sea transportation, the "rail-sea combined transportation" mode shortens the original 18-20 days water transportation time to less than 3 days now, and the logistics transportation cycle of Wuhan commodity exports to Thailand will be shortened by at least half a month.

Relying on the connection between the east and the west and the hub of the north-south transportation market, Wuhan's cargo transportation organization is developing optimally.

Speeding up the construction of the railway international logistics park centered on Wujiashan Station, and working with water transportation partners to accelerate the integrated operation of water and rail, will further improve the quality and efficiency of the supply of transportation products in Wuhan, and provide important services for the smooth regional economic cycle and the establishment of a new development pattern. support.
