Following the spread of the new coronavirus, Fukuoka Prefecture requested the government to declare a state of emergency on the 5th.

Priority measures such as prevention of spread have been applied to Fukuoka Prefecture from the 2nd of this month, but the spread of infection has continued, and the number of newly infected people announced on the 4th exceeded 700 for the first time, reaching a record high of 752.

In response to this, Governor Hattori of Fukuoka Prefecture held an extraordinary press conference and said, "There is a rapid spread of infection that has never been experienced before. There is a risk that the beds will be filled up at an accelerating rate. We need to take the initiative. "

And on the 5th, it was revealed that the government had requested Fukuoka Prefecture to issue a state of emergency.

On top of that, Governor Hattori said, "We share a sense of crisis with the government and we hope that you will consider it."

In addition, Governor Hattori announced that the prefecture's own "corona warning" that is currently being issued will be raised to a "special warning" on the 5th, and that prefecture facilities such as prefectural libraries and museums will be closed in sequence.

He called for thorough measures such as refraining from going out unnecessarily to prevent the spread of infection.
