The government's "Basic Coping Policy Subcommittee", which is made up of experts on infectious diseases, is being held from 9 am on measures against the new coronavirus.



Among them, the Minister for Economic Revitalization Nishimura added eight prefectures, Fukushima, Ibaraki, Tochigi, Gunma, Shizuoka, Aichi, Shiga, and Kumamoto, to the areas to which priority measures such as spread prevention are applied in response to the worsening infection situation. , I consulted the policy that the period will be from August 8th to 31st.



With the approval of the subcommittee, the government will formally decide on such a policy at the response headquarters after prior reporting to the Diet and questions.



As a result, the area covered by the priority measures will be expanded from the five prefectures of Hokkaido, Ishikawa, Hyogo, Kyoto, and Fukuoka to 13 prefectures.
