The Zhejiang National Orchestra, which was born in 1957, has been committed to the excavation, sorting, research and creation of national music, especially Zhejiang local music.

The national orchestral "Impression of Liangzhu" is another large-scale original musical work by the Zhejiang National Orchestra following the "Capriccio of Living in the Fuchun Mountains".

This concert uses the Zhejiang Song and Dance Theater as the creative and performance team, and the young conductor Chen Xuan will act as the lead.

The concert is divided into eight chapters, such as "Shang Shan Ruo Water", "Shen Ze", "Nian Feng", "Gong Yu", "Runes", "Heavenly Crafts", "Jade Soul" and "Glorious East".

At the scene, the prelude "The Goodness is Like Water" opened the curtain of the concert.

In the ancient, mysterious and romantic mood, music comes.

First, the sound of running water, the sound of birds, from far to near, gradually appeared bamboo joints, the percussion of clay pots, vocals without words chanting, and the grinding of grains in the shaking of the bean tray...

Through the fog of history, people seem to see the ancestors of Liangzhu coming from nature. They planted rice, polished jade, built water conservancy, and worshipped heaven and earth, leaving traces of human civilization.

The Suona Concerto "Shenze" used music to depict the scene of the ancestors praying during the Liangzhu period, and the penetrating suona was selected as the lead instrument.

But in the way of performance, the young suona performer Song Guangshun broke the previous more bold style of suona and conveyed an ethereal and far-reaching artistic conception.

In the chapter of "Runes" with bamboo flute, percussion and string band, in order to show the state of Liangzhu people engraving on the stone wall, the composer used stone discs and slates on the percussion music.

The percussion of "Ding Ding Dong Dong" and the distant melody of the bamboo flute lead the audience to trace the origin of the original text.

In the opinion of the composer Wang Yunfei, although "Impression of Liangzhu" is a suite, it also incorporates the principles of symphonic suites and has a sense of overall design.

For example, the four most representative national instruments, suona, erhu, bamboo flute, and pipa, are selected as the main instruments of the concerto, showing the expressive power of solo instruments and the overall tension of the national band.

It is reported that this work is a project funded by the Zhejiang Culture and Art Development Fund in 2019, and it was also selected for the National National Instrumental Music Exhibition hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

"The development of the national orchestra must be based on creation. Only by launching excellent works can the development of the orchestra be promoted." said Wang Wenlong, chairman of the Zhejiang Performing Arts Group. The Liangzhu Ancient City site is located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. People around the world tell the story of Liangzhu, which is also the mission and responsibility of the Zhejiang National Orchestra. (Finish)
