Fukuoka Prefecture announced on the 5th that it was confirmed that 718 new people were infected with the new coronavirus in the prefecture.
The number of infected people in the prefecture per day exceeds 700 for the second consecutive day, which is the second highest number in the past after 752 on the 4th.
The number of people increased by 352 from Thursday a week ago, surpassing the same day of the previous week for 20 consecutive days.
The breakdown is

▽ Kitakyushu City with 93 people, and
▽ Kurume City with 27 people.
A total of 42,142 people have been confirmed to be infected in Fukuoka Prefecture.
On the other hand, it was found that 160 new people in the prefecture were suspected of being infected with the delta strain of the mutant virus confirmed in India.
