Meghan Markle may have forgotten it, but good manners are one of the pillars of the British monarchy.

It is therefore natural that Queen Elizabeth II opened the ball of birthday greetings to the attention of the Duchess of Sussex, who is celebrating her 40th birthday today.

And the whole royal family followed, with by order of accession to the throne, Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, and Prince William and his wife Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge.

In contrast, Buckingham, Clarence House and Kensington Palace weren't very inspired.

Their messages are indeed identical: "We wish a very happy fortieth birthday to the Duchess of Sussex".

Only the photos chosen differ as well as the emoji that closes their posts on social networks.

Good figure

The tensions therefore do not seem to be completely over.

It must be said that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had accused, during their shock interview with Oprah Winfrey, the British monarchy of racism and reproached Prince Charles for having cut their food much earlier than expected and overnight.

If they returned to this last financial point by stammering a little, Meghan and Harry have other projects that the crown does not see a good eye.

The son of Prince Charles is in fact preparing his memoirs, which he promises without taboos… The saga is not over.
