In Mexico, the Covid-19 pandemic has killed nearly 250,000 people according to the government - double according to scientists.
Estimates from the scientific journal
The Lancet
reveal that the country may have the highest number of orphans due to Covid-19 in the world.
Nearly 150,000 children have reportedly lost one or two parents to the pandemic.
