In a trial in which five people living in Hyogo Prefecture were seeking compensation from the government for being forced to undergo sterilization under the former Yusei Protection Law, the Kobe District Court ruled to dismiss the plaintiff's proceedings.
All five proceedings in similar proceedings nationwide have dismissed the proceedings, and the sixth proceeding has also ruled that the state is not liable for damages.
