The divorce between Microsoft founder Bill Gates and Melinda is final.
, the multi-billionaire and his wife have been officially divorced since Monday after a 27-year marriage.
Melinda filed for divorce in May because the marriage had been "broken irretrievably".
An exact reason for the breakup was not given.
The two were not married on a prenuptial agreement.
That means their assets will be divided and Melinda will be entitled to half of Bill's wealth, estimated at over $130 billion.
Bill and Melinda married in 1994 and have three children.
Since 2000, they have been working together for good causes with their Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
They will continue to do so after their divorce.
