100 young people from 18 Arab countries join podcast training

The Arab Youth Center has started the activities of the “Arab Youth Podcast Training Program” to qualify young men and women with the latest professional skills they need to create digital audio content, and to benefit from the continuous rise of podcasts in the Arab region and the world.

The Center had received hundreds of applications to compete for membership in the program, as a specialized evaluation committee reviewed the applications to select the competitors.

The center revealed the names of the members accepted in the first version, as it will start training the affiliates, who represent 18 Arab countries, on the best mechanisms and practices for the production of podcast content that is increasingly in demand globally, through specialized training courses, in cooperation with institutions with a distinguished presence in this field. To empower young people with podcasting and podcasting skills in order to establish and develop platforms.

The first phase, which was launched yesterday, includes all 100 members of the program, distributing them into 20 groups to be trained in three main axes, namely the characteristics of a successful podcast producer, the establishment of a home recording studio, and the arts of voiceover, to end with about 100 podcast episodes produced by the participants in the program.

Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Vice President of the Arab Youth Center, Shamma Al Mazrouei, said, “We seek to prepare empowered youth with digital podcasting skills, able to take advantage of the opportunities of the rise of technology and digital solutions both in terms of knowledge and practice, and we aim to qualify a new generation of content makers who contribute to enriching the available Arabic content. digitally, and take advantage of the promising opportunities it provides.”

Saeed Al-Nazari, Director-General of the Federal Youth Foundation and Chief Strategy Officer at the Arab Youth Center, said: “The high demand from young people to register in the training program for the Arab Youth Podcast confirms the youth’s keenness to acquire new specialized skills, and now, with the launch of its training activities, it includes young people from 18 Arab countries. They will receive professional training on the best podcast production skills over a period of three months, utilizing experts and specialized platforms.”
