The French Dispatch

, which premiered at Cannes, marks the seventh collaboration between Owen Wilson and Wes Anderson.

A professional relationship of rare longevity which continues to amaze the actor, thirty years after having met the filmmaker on the benches of the university.

You hear yourself say… stuff your parents used to say, "You wouldn't believe it was so long ago."

In my mind, it's a bit like that, the actor told IndieWire.

When I think we were roommates in Austin, at the University of Texas.

We met during the script.

It seems crazy that now we're invited to the Cannes Film Festival together.
