The decree stipulated the formation of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Women's Foundation, headed by Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Managing Director of the Foundation, and the membership of Hala Yousef Badri, Vice President, Huda Al-Sayed Mohammed Al Hashemi, Huda Issa Buhumaid, Khawla Rashid Al Muhairi, Mona Darwish Bu Samra, and Fahima Abdul Razzaq Al Bastaki. During its course, the Dubai Women's Establishment launched many initiatives and projects that contribute to achieving its vision and strategic objectives. It hosted and organized the Global Women's Forum in 2016 and 2020, the largest event of its kind in the world concerned with supporting women and increasing the level of their participation in various economic and social fields. At the international level, more than 4,600 people from 100 countries participated in its second session, which was held under the slogan “The Power of Influence,” including inspiring global leaders, influential government officials, prominent executives, as well as a group of entrepreneurs, experts, academics and students. Among the initiatives and projects launched by the Foundation are the Women’s Leaders Program for Knowledge Exchange, the Emirates Program for Women Leaders, the Women’s Initiative on Boards of Directors, the National Project for Nurseries, the Emirates Leaders Forum, the Innovative Women Leaders Program, in cooperation with Ashridge Hult Business School in the United Kingdom, and the “Qudwa” initiative.
