Recently, the reporter walked into the Tibetan Buddhist History Exhibition Hall of the Tibet Buddhist College. There are five major religious sects including Gelugpa, Kagyupa, Sakya, and Kadampa. They have different sects and styles.

The colored sand mandala material is ground into powder with different colors of mineral pigments and painted into images of Buddhas and pagodas. The colors are rich and the composition is complicated. It can be completed for dozens of days after stacking and drawing.

In 2014, the painting of colored sand mandala was included in the protection and inheritance of China's National Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
