Abe said that the former Prime Minister Abe was suspected of violating the Public Offices Election Act because of illegal donations to voters over the social gathering held the night before the "Sakura wo Miru Kai". Regarding the fact that he was accused and was not prosecuted, the Tokyo 1st Prosecutor's Office decided that "non-prosecution is unreasonable" because the investigation was not exhausted sufficiently.
In response to this, the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office will conduct a re-investigation and decide whether to prosecute again.
