As fans around the world eagerly awaited his news, American actor Bob Odenkirk was in stable condition Wednesday in a hospital where he was rushed to an emergency after collapsing while filming the 

Better Call Saul series.

 in the state of New Mexico in the United States, according to its representatives.

Bob Odenkirk, 58, was in the middle of filming the final season of the

Breaking Bad

spin-off

 when he suffered a "heart attack," according to a statement.

“We can confirm that Bob is in stable condition (…) he and his family wish to express their gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses who take care of him,” he continued.

According to celebrity news site TMZ, Bob Odenkirk "collapsed" during filming on Tuesday and was "immediately rescued by the crew, who called an ambulance."

Messages of concern have multiplied on social networks where the actor, who has also played in dozens of feature films, enjoys a strong notoriety.

The Odenkirk family "also wishes to thank everyone for the flow of recovery wishes and ask for respect for his privacy while Bob focuses on his recovery," noted the statement from representatives of the actor.
