Argentine kidnapped a girl and imprisoned her for 23 years

In Argentina, the trial of Oscar Alberto Raco, 50, from Rosario, began on charges of kidnapping and imprisoning his 23-year-old girlfriend, as the public prosecutor demanded an 18-year prison sentence.

According to the local "TN" channel, the victim, who is now 43 years old, said in her testimony that "during detention, she was forced to clean the house and do various work for which Raku received money, and she was kneeling for hours and asking forgiveness from him for being a "bad person", and she was physically abused."

She explained that, "I managed to escape in May 2019. He locked me up one morning, made me stand and sweep in front of the house, and then went to the bathroom."

And she continued, "I found about $8 in the house and took my phone with me. After moving away for tens of meters, I was able to get into a taxi," noting that she was able to find a payphone and called her aunt.

The channel reported that the accused's trial took place yesterday.
