Affected by the recent heavy rainfall, the urban area of Weihui City, Henan Province was seriously flooded. The First Affiliated Hospital of Xinxiang Medical College and several residential communities were besieged by floods, and water and electricity were cut off.
At noon on July 26, officers and soldiers of an engineering chemical defense brigade, a service support brigade, and a group military hospital of the 83rd Group Army rushed to the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinxiang Medical College to transfer patients, family members, and medical staff.
After more than ten hours of fighting, until the early morning of the 27th, as the last patient was safely sent to the assault boat, all patients in the hospital were transferred.
After the water and power cuts, thousands of patients, their families, and medical staff in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinxiang Medical College needed to be transferred.
