The series of rave parties for three months in Brittany has not gone unnoticed.

The regional natural park of Armorique and the environmental association Bretagne vivante deplored the holding of these raves on Wednesday "in very fragile natural sites".

They even say they are “worried” about their consequences on biodiversity.

In a joint press release, the two entities judge that three of these festivals, which took place between May and July in Finistère (in Brasparts, Brennilis and Loqueffret), had "a direct impact on biodiversity" in the mountains of Arrée.

"These species are in a critical situation"

"The meticulous follow-ups carried out by naturalists, for example, highlight nesting failures after these events", indicate the Regional Natural Park of Armorica and Living Brittany, which ask "for the first time the State to take the necessary measures ”.

According to the two institutions, the Monts d'Arrée represent 8,000 hectares of moors and peat bogs out of the 14,000 that remain in Brittany, against 1 million hectares two centuries ago.

"There are the last populations of the region of the Common Curlew, the Saint Martin's harrier or the common harrier," the press release said.

Unfortunately these species are in a critical situation.
