The big winner at this year's Eisner Prize was American Gene Luen Yang, who won a total of three prizes for Superman smashed the clan and Dragon hoops.
But among the winners is also the Swedish cartoonist Moa Romanova.
In 2018, she debuted with the comic book novel Always Fuck Up.
It has been translated into eight languages and the American edition, Goblin girl, is awarded an Eisner award.

Always Fuck Up is an autobiographical comic book novel about mental illness.
You also get to read about an unhealthy relationship with an older TV profile.
- It's quite sad, and quite funny.
It is a good meeting between the two themes, says Moa Romanova.
Romanova does not shy away from the embarrassments.
In her world, fun always wins.
- There are so many things I have done that are so embarrassing.
But if you pull the pants down on yourself, no one else can do it, she says.
The cartoonists' finest prize
Last year, Romanova received the Swedish Cartoonists' award Kolla.
With Eisnern, she gets a figurine and a stamp of quality of the highest rank - but no money.
- I just want a prize where they give me a lot of money.
It would have been heaviest.

- But this Eisner Prize ... I do not think I can get a greater recognition, says Moa Romanova.
The winners will be presented at the annual Comic con convention in San Diego, USA.
This year the gala was digital, but despite that she did not participate in the live broadcast - precisely because she did not expect to receive an award.
- I had not even counted it as an opportunity, even though I was nominated.
So I just slept right through the gala and the live broadcast, and woke up and just "sorry!", Says Romanova.
