"Over the past day, on July 27, 81 forest fires were liquidated in Russia on an area of ​​9307 hectares," RIA Novosti quoted a message as saying.

It is noted that the largest area of ​​fires was recorded in Yakutia, where 71 fires operate on an area of ​​542 517 hectares.

Earlier, the authorities of Karelia announced that the area of ​​forest fires in the region has increased to 15,000 hectares.
