There is no vet on Silk Island.
Located in Cambodia, the island is home to hundreds of stray cats and dogs, often sick.
The increase in their population is a problem on this island, where the trade in dog meat is prohibited.
The Four Paws association and Animal Rescue Cambodia have been carrying out operations since February 2020 to sterilize, vaccinate and operate on these animals if necessary.
Veterinary organizations also offer awareness workshops for the local population in order to offer a better life to four-legged beings.
