On the evening of July 26, due to continuous rainstorms caused by typhoon "fireworks", the water level in the Luchaogang community, Nanhui New Town, Pudong New Area, Shanghai rose sharply, causing water inflows in some low-lying residential areas.

A mobile team of the Shanghai Armed Police Corps quickly sent troops to help the disaster-stricken people out of danger.

It can be seen from the disaster site that part of the affected residential areas have been submerged by the inverted river water. According to the site conditions, after surveying the terrain, the command team decided to use sandbags to build a dam at the junction of the residential area and the inland river, and first control the river water. Reverse irrigation, and then use the pump to completely drain the accumulated water in the residential area.

The officers and soldiers used the rain to fill and transport sandbags, and then fixed temporary dams at the crossings. Taking into account the continuous rainfall in the later period, the officers and soldiers specially increased the height of the dams.

After nearly three hours of continuous operations, the armed police officers and soldiers have loaded and transported more than 12,000 sandbags and built a levee nearly 200 meters, which basically eliminated the danger.

"Cheng Dianzhu, deputy chief of staff of the Mobile First Team of the Shanghai Armed Police Corps, told reporters.
