Unexplained symptoms of a heart attack

A doctor, presenter of a health television program on the "Russia 1" channel, explained some symptoms that indicate a person may have a heart attack, as reported by "Russia Today" on its website.

The most common symptoms of this serious condition are chest pain, shortness of breath, increased sweating and weakness, said doctor and program presenter Alexander Myasnikov.

He added that there are signs not directly related to heart disease, including pain in the neck, shoulder or jaw, slurred speech, bloating and heartburn. He explained that many people suffer from similar problems, but this is not always a reason to call an ambulance.

The doctor pointed out that this pain and shortness of breath and those explicit and implicit symptoms require a visit to a cardiologist as soon as possible.

The doctor also noted that the main risk factors are age (men over 45 and women over 50), heredity associated with early heart attacks and strokes, smoking, increased low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, low high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, increased blood sugar and arterial hypertension, as well as inactivity and obesity .

In addition, the intake of alcohol can affect the risk of heart attack.

And the doctor came to the conclusion that people who were diagnosed with several factors at the same time, and not one of them, face the greatest risk.

World Health Organization information indicates that more than 17.5 million people die annually from heart disease.

At the same time, doctors believe that about 80% of strokes and early heart attacks can be prevented.
