Lynyrd Skynyrd's legendary guitarist Gary Rossington has emergency heart surgery

Gary Rossington, the only member of the original band Lynyrd Skynyrd formed in 1964, is recovering from a serious heart attack.

At 69, the legendary guitarist announced on social networks that he hoped to be fully recovered soon.

He is resting at home, “with his family” from an emergency heart operation.

He already had a heart attack in 2015 and emergency surgery.

The announcement of the guitarist's operation was made by the band's singer, Johnny Van Zant, during a concert in Minnesota.

He then explained that a stent had to be placed on Gary Rossington.

The group will continue to perform without him, according to his wishes, he will be replaced during the current tour by Damon Johnson.
