These days, the blessed Eid al-Adha comes upon us to remind us of what happened with the two sons of Adam, who were subjected to the test of offering the first sacrifice in human history. This matter has been repeated throughout human history, which is full of situations that forced us to choose between sacrifice or not.

The rituals of sacrifice on Eid al-Adha are not only a form of worship, but are always charged with feelings, discussions, temptations, and temptations that accompany every worship that involves offering sacrifice. It is better for them not to delve into this subject.

But the strange thing is that these people often falsify their opinions and attitudes towards this religious occasion, even though they are not ready for this kind of tests and to make sacrifices. In this period of each year we witness a great diversity of opinions among those who prefer to get rid of this test by offering an easy and cheap sacrifice as well. It is the case with Cain and those who wish to perform this ritual to the fullest, as is the case with Abel, and in a similar scene we notice in this era that some are trying to assume the mantle of diligence and fatwas and claim the permissibility of sacrificing chickens and turkeys.

They spread some illusions and allegations such as that donating a sum of money is better than slaughtering an animal on Eid al-Adha, and therefore we distance ourselves from these opinions that ignore or ignore the deep meanings of the ritual of offering the sacrifice.

In fact, we can say that these voices that we hear whenever Eid al-Adha approaches - despite its negativity - are what makes this sacrifice a real test, and we have a lesson in the story of our master Ibrahim with his son Ismail, which is undoubtedly a unique story in the history of human sacrifice, which is Which determined the form and method of offering the sacrifice, this story through which we can decipher the codes of human existence on the planet since ancient times, and it includes secrets and lessons that many may not comprehend.

This story also shows us that there are people who are unable to give up their possessions that they love to seek God's pleasure. These people give in to their lusts and illusions instead of accepting sacrifice.

The story of Abraham also shows that the decision to sacrifice must be voluntary and with complete conviction, and it involves giving up a previous status in order to approach a better one.

In light of the evidence of the principle of choice in the process of sacrifice, the devil and illusions are always part of the test, and on every occasion or stage we notice the presence of people who question this ritual.

And sometimes these people cause some doubt in the hearts of people through the arguments they invoke, which may at first appear scientific, philosophical and humane, but are in fact wrong.

It must be said that sacrifice is a process that involves making one decision and at the same time sacrificing several choices or other things.

This applies to our master Ibrahim, who lived within certain geographical boundaries, and within them he was able to stand up to King Nimrod, and although his father used to worship idols, he dared to destroy them and was punished by throwing into the fire, and in this situation people watched how the fire received divine orders so that it would be cool and peaceful upon our master Ibrahim.

This test - which our master Abraham successfully passed within a limited geographical scope - has universal meanings that include all human beings.

In this era, we are also required to make fateful decisions and choices regarding what is happening in Syria, Myanmar, Kashmir, Yemen, Libya and Iraq, all of which are real tests for us.

Those who express their opinions about the refugees who have arrived in Turkey should take these values and ideas into account, before they raise the suspicion that foreign refugees are taking over the capabilities and jobs of the people of the country, and they will remain here as guests forever.

Indeed, those who come to Turkish soil are in dire need of help, and we should not think that they are spoiling our lives by begging in the streets and accepting jobs for little pay.

If space allowed, we would analyze all these opinions and beliefs to show that each is in fact a test of our capacity for sacrifice.

We must not delve into these issues without first contemplating the meanings of sacrifice and the true and lofty intentions of an important religious occasion such as Eid al-Adha.

Therefore, I invite you to celebrate Eid Al-Adha and get closer to the truth and stay away from falsehood and lies. Let us all distance ourselves from tyrants, whatever their names are, and get closer to the victims of tyranny everywhere.
