China News Service, Hangzhou, July 26 (Qian Chenfei, Zhang Liujing, Zhou Xiaolu) The reporter learned on the 26th from the official information of Fuyang District, Hangzhou, that at 19:00 on the 25th, due to continuous heavy rains, the Xuzhang line of Hongchi Village, Dayuan Town, Fuyang District suddenly broke out. A landslide caused 14 villagers in Dazhao Natural Village to be trapped in their homes, including a 90-year-old man and 2 children.

The Fuyang Branch of the Public Security Bureau, the Fuyang District Fire Brigade, and the Fuyang Wolves Rescue Team assembled overnight and moved the trapped people in the rain. As of 23:30 that day, all the villagers were safely transferred to the resettlement site.

Rescue over the mountain in the middle of the night

After the danger occurred, Wu Yufeng, secretary of the Fuyang District Party Committee, led a working group to the scene and asked about the rescue plan to learn more about the progress of the work.

When it was learned that there were 14 people who needed to be transferred near the landslide site, he took the lead in formulating an emergency transfer plan, requiring the people to be transferred out safely without landing at the fastest speed, and rescuers should pay attention to their own safety.

At 20 o'clock that day, after the Fuyang wolf pack rescue team on duty received the order, a total of 45 members of the three echelons, with professional mountain rescue equipment such as mountain ropes, roll stretchers, crowbars, and expansion shears, set off to the scene.

Because a landslide blocked the only way for the five innermost families in Dazhao Natural Village to access the outside world, the team members had to go around the landslide and walk up the mountain to enter the mountain.

After on-site risk assessment, the rescue team decided to hike up the mountain to carry out rescue work.

At about 22:00 that day, the heavy rain continued. The joint rescue team composed of Fuyang wolf pack rescue team, seal rescue team, village and town cadres and 20 special police members put on raincoats, brought rescue equipment, and went up the mountain in the rain.

Three enthusiastic local villagers Yu Hangwei, Yu Shuiping and Yu Anping from Hongchi Village traveled to the mountain to explore the way before the rescue team arrived, saving precious time for subsequent transfers.

The minimum age of the trapped is 3 years old and the maximum is 90 years old

After the disaster, the villagers spontaneously gathered to a relatively safe location.

One of the 90-year-old lady was bedridden for a long time and was unable to move. The wolf pack rescue team carried the old man onto a stretcher and carefully covered the quilt. The deputy captain Ye Xiaoming also took off his raincoat and put it on the old man.

"Grandma, we are going to set off. Don't worry, you will be safely transferred out." The team members leaned to the ears of the elderly to comfort them, and worked together to lift the stretcher and set off.

"The most difficult thing is to lift the old man down the steep slope." Chen Jianming, the leader of the wolf pack rescue team, introduced that in order to minimize the bumps of the old man, a total of six or seven team members protected the old man. They walked carefully every step of the way. Under the relay, the old man was safely transferred to the foot of the mountain.

There are also 2 children among the trapped villagers, one is 6 years old and the other is 3 years old.

"When I saw him, his body was wet, but he was brave and didn't cry." Chen Jie, a member of the wolf pack rescue team holding his 6-year-old child, told reporters that the situation was very urgent at the time and he did not communicate with the child much. He picked him up in one hand, and the child was shaking all over.

After moving the children to a safe place, Chen Jie went into the transfer work of other people.

Zhang Hongfeng, deputy commander of the Special Patrol Brigade of the Public Security Fuyang Branch, also participated in the rescue that night. After picking up the villagers from Dazhao Village, he comforted his 3-year-old child while holding him, “Don’t be afraid, the police uncle will take you out to find your mother. ." The team members on the side helped hold the umbrellas and tried to avoid rain on the children.

As the rescue team escorted the villagers down the mountain, the firefighters arrived at the scene and the two teams met halfway through the mountain.

Nearly a hundred rescuers set up a long human ladder to send the trapped people down the mountain one by one.

In places with rapid water currents, rescuers used bamboos, planks, etc. to build temporary single-plank bridges to help trapped people to pass safely; on steep mountain roads, rescuers first fixed safety ropes to trees and let villagers pull the ropes one by one to go down .

After an hour and a half of hard work, 14 villagers were safely transferred around 23:30 that night.

All 188 villagers were transferred to the resettlement site

"When I was trapped, I saw a landslide and the roads were blocked. I was nervous. Later, when the rescue team came, I immediately saw hope. Thank you very much for coming to rescue us in the wind and heavy rain." After the safe location, villager Yu Suhua said.

According to the on-site analysis of geological experts, the possibility of secondary sliding bodies in the valley is not ruled out. The on-site headquarters decided to expand the scope of personnel transfer to the entire village of Dazhao Natural Village after research and judgment.

"The evacuation is for our safety, and we fully obey the arrangement." Although they had to leave their home overnight, the villagers were very cooperative.

At 2 o'clock on the 26th, the transfer of all villagers in Dazhao Natural Village was completed, with a total of 188 people.

The migrants were placed in several local primary schools, and Dayuan Town, Fuyang District was responsible for the supply of daily necessities.

When the transferred villagers arrived at the resettlement site, the staff and volunteers of Dayuan Town set up temporary beds, placed daily necessities, and calmed the villagers' emotions.

"This is the first time I have experienced this situation. I was nervous, but it was more of a responsibility. Although I was tired from participating in investigations and monitoring for many days, I felt that it was worth it from the bottom of my heart to see the villagers sleeping peacefully. "A village cadre in Hongchi Village said.
